The New South Wales government has announced a $230 million emergency package aimed at addressing domestic violence in the state.

The package includes funding for the expansion of the Staying Home Leaving Violence program, reforms to bail laws, and support for domestic violence support workers.

While some view the initiative as a positive step, others are concerned it may not be enough to protect victims.

Some have argued the package does not go far enough in addressing the root causes of domestic violence or providing adequate support for victims.
